PolicyPak Professional & PolicyPak Design Studio
Solve the Problems You Have Now
Use PolicyPak Professional with PolicyPak Design Studio to consistently manage ANY application's settings using the Group Policy technology you already have and use. You can even use PolicyPak Design Studio with your company's proprietary and home-grown applications.
PolicyPak Professional with PolicyPak Design Studio is the perfect tool to help you ensure compliance, reduce the number of images, immediately increase end-user productivity and deal with end-users' applications settings management. (Read more about the problems that PolicyPak Professional can solve by reading the Solutions items in the Solutions menu.)
PolicyPak Professional with PolicyPak Design Studio enables you to design your own user interface to match your application, then consistently manage your application's settings using the Group Policy technology you already have and use.
And, with PolicyPak ApplockTM, you'll be able to truly lock the settings down and take the access away-so there's nothing the end-user can do to wiggle around your policies.
A PolicyPak Professional license allows you to create and manage an unlimited number of applications, and their corresponding settings, for your Windows-based computers.
Creating your own PolicyPaks for your off-the-shelf or in-house applications is as easy as 1-2-3. Just start out by having an idea of which application(s) you want to manage. Let's see how easy it is to leverage Group Policy and manage and configure an application you already use. In these examples, we'll manage Outlook 2003, but you can choose just about any application.
Here, a user simply has too many "bells and whistles" to manage on their own for this application. If the user should misconfigure even one setting, that's a ticking time bomb waiting to happen. That's an upcoming call to the helpdesk where someone from your staff will have to run out and troubleshoot the problem.

Step 1 (Optional): Import an existing application's user interface using our PolicyPak AutoUI tool
We've made it super easy for you to get started using PolicyPak. Just utilize our PolicyPak AutoUI tool and most of the work in creating your PolicyPak is done for you. Just point AutoUI toward an existing application you already use, and the user interface will be available to you immediately for the next steps.
Here is Outlook 2003's entire user interface imported into the PolicyPak AutoUI tool.

Step 2: Customize Your PolicyPak Using Our PolicyPak Design Studio Tool
Use our PolicyPak Design Studio to create your own original user interface, or leverage the captured user interface from PolicyPak's AutoUI tool used in Step 1.
Then, you'll simply drag, drop, and describe the behavior of each application's elements.

Step 3: Use Your PolicyPak to Manage Your Applications
You're now ready to use the tools you and your team already know: the Group Policy Management Console and the Group Policy Object (or Management) Editor. Just select your application from inside the GPO, as seen here.

And your user interface from the PolicyPak Design Studio is brought to life inside the real Group Policy Object.

You'll be able to affect when the machine gets the setting, what happens when the user no longer needs the setting, and whether you wish to use PolicyPak AppLock TM to hide the application's settings from the user to make them unchangeable. In this example, we've set the "Use this stationary by default" to "none" and selected "Hide corresponding control in target application."
Results: What You SET Is What They GET
Let's see PolicyPak configure your application's settings. Here's what it will look like before PolicyPak applies. You can see there's a lot for a user to choose here.

However, with PolicyPak, we're guaranteeing that the settings you specify are delivered, and optionally, locking them down and taking access away.
With PolicyPak AppLockTM turned on, there's simply no way for a user to work around your set policies as seen here.

Additionally, in this example, we've chosen to hide the Fonts button and the Stationary Picker buttons. There's simply no reason to give the user any room to work around your desired configuration.
Unless you want more help desk calls.
