PolicyPak Product and Licensing
PolicyPak Software is Affordable Active Directory and Group Policy Software
We want you to be happy. We're confident you'll love our Group Policy desktop lockdown software. So we give you lots of free opportunities to take us for a full, no-holds-barred test drive. When you're ready to buy, here's how it works.
What you get when you're a PolicyPak Professional customer
PolicyPak Professional consists of:
- The "client side extension" which you must put on all clients you want to manage. Windows XP and higher, and/or Terminal Services and Citrix servers; VMware and all VDI solutions supported, like Citrix Xendesktop or VMware View.
- The "GPMC extension" which enables you to create new GPOs and manage PolicyPak paks.
- The "PolicyPak Design Studio" which enables you to create your own PolicyPaks for any applications.
- A PolicyPak Quickstart and User Guide and PolicyPak Design Studio Users' Guide.
- All the pre-created PolicyPaks we've got for you are 100% free for all PolicyPak PolicyPak Professional customers. We're building new ones all the time, so you'll get them free with your license. We build it – you get it – included.
Pay only for the software you use, and never any more than that
PolicyPak software's licensing was designed with enterprises in mind. In short, you'll use our tool to count the number of computers in Active Directory (not users). Then, you'll tell our tool exactly where you want to be licensed.
You can license a whole domain, or single or multiple OUs (organizational unit).
Once you're all paid up (or we have a PO) we'll send over the license key. Install the license key with our tool (it creates a GPO and puts in the license), and you're fully licensed where you need it.
It's just that simple. We have a video you can check out here.
Purchasing PolicyPak Professional with PolicyPak Design Studio
PolicyPak Professional is licensed per-computer. Our minimum purchase is 100 computer licenses. Again, you will need to specify a specific OU or multiple OUs that contain your Windows computers (or you may license your whole domain).
Once a computer is licensed it will process any PolicyPaks that you create or any of the preconfigured PolicyPaks and all features are enabled. Any user on those computers gets the PolicyPaks you want -- because the COMPUTER is licensed.
The initial cost varies based upon how many machines you want to license. Call / email us for a specific quote, based upon the number of COMPUTERS and TERMINAL SERVERS you want to manage.
Yearly product maintenance is required, and also varies depending on the number of machines you want to manage.
Again, your first year includes maintenance. You must continue maintenance on a yearly basis for computers to remain licensed. You must also "true up" every year to do a quick re-count and pay any overage. See our Licensing FAQ for more details.
